A GREAT SUCCESS!
£600.00 raised for Norfolk & Waveney Mind!
Our Autumn Artisan Fayre - the sixth Artisan Fayre we've held - was another success! Simon & I would like to thank our wonderful artisans, visitors, friends & family who helped to make it all happen.
Following on from the achievements of last year's Artisan Fayres, and our Spring Artisan Fayre and Summer Artisan Fayre earlier this year, our Autumn Artisan Fayre fundraiser for Norfolk & Waveney Mind didn't disappoint.

We are simply thrilled with all the encouraging, positive comments from our artisans and visitors alike. Once again, we were really impressed with the high quality of our attending artists and very grateful to those who demonstrated on the day:
Lynda from Fen Mill Crafts demonstrating the wonderful medium that is Powertex (check out the workshop they’re holding with us here at Blended Monkey on 15 November ),
Paul Janssens demonstrating some of his painting techniques and providing advice to our visitors,
Gilli from Paper2Pearls demonstrating some of her papercraft processes she uses to make her lovely recycled paper jewellery, and
Aimee from Nacho & Tiki’s Studio offering wonderfully festive illustrations of your kitty cats!
Some of our Fabulous Artist Demonstrations
It was also great to see how busy our workshop artists were throughout the day too with:
Zoe Ansari providing a 2-hour lino cut workshop and
Tic Challis with a number of drop-in pyrography workshops
We are genuinely heart-warmed by the generosity and support shown by artists and visitors alike in buying raffle tickets to win the fabulous, high-end prizes created and donated by each of our artisans (thank you guys!), as well as the purchases from our pop-up Fanoggins Bakery who spent many days before the event prepping & baking their tasty wares.

We’d like to thank Alan & Sharon, “The Rummuns”, for providing their lovely music at a very discounted rate. They can be contacted for bookings via their FB page.

A MASSIVE thank you to our lovely, bubbly front of house, DEE, who welcomed everyone with her usual warm smile and cheer. Dee and her partner Tony also donated some of the ingredients for the Fanoggins Bakery, and they stayed at the end of the Fayre to help clear tables and clean – we can’t thank them enough!
We’d also like to thank Zakiya (Fanoggins Bakery) for all her hard work baking and creating the tastiest of treats that were on offer on the day – and her partner, James, for helping to clear up at the end. We were all exhausted – in the most positive way of course :-) – so we’re really grateful to those who stayed behind to help clear up and clean.
Big hugs and thanks also to those artisans (you know who you are :-)) and our loyal followers, customers, students and friends who helped to share the event on their social media platforms, distribute posters and fliers, and assist in helping to create our high-quality successful artisan fundraiser event.
All the event profits are going to a charity that Simon and I hold close to our hearts - and we've raised £600 for Norfolk & Waveney Mind!
Combined, the six Artisan Fayre events we've held so far have generated a fab £5000.00 for this worthy charity.
Join us next year for the following Artisan Fayres:

Our Fabulously Talented Artists!

A wonderful collection of carefully curated Fenland & East Anglian artists, creators & makers who are selling their work, demonstrating their crafts & holding workshops on the day.
All profits are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity close to our hearts.
Following on from the success of our Summer Artisan Fayre in July (we raised a further £900.00 for Norfolk & Waveney MIND), Simon and I are putting together our Autumn Artisan Fayre to showcase another selection of fabulous local Fenland & East Anglian artists, makers & creators, while at the same time raise funds for Norfolk & Waveney MIND.
Join us at Upwell Hall on the Norfolk/Cambs border - New Rd, Upwell, PE14 9AB - from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm on Sunday 26 October.
Some of our artisans are demonstrating their crafts (including pyrography, lino printing, artisan floristry, mixed media illustration, Powertex sculpture, felting, embroidery ...).
FREE ENTRY and oodles of parking at the hall!
Fanoggins Bakery will be joining us again with their yummy locally made snacks and treats and there are tables & seating provided.
Don't miss out on the wonderful high-end raffle with all prizes made by each of the attending artists!
We're also being joined by the fabulous duet, The Rummuns!
Sharon & Alan will be providing acoustic accompaniment throughout the day.

All event profits (stallholder fees, food & drink profits, raffle ticket sales) are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
This particular charity is close to our hearts, as Simon and I spend a lot of our time here at Blended Monkey offering creative therapy workshops & experiences to people who suffer with poor mental health, are recovering from brain trauma, or who generally need to get away from the pressures of everyday life and immerse themselves in something creative and relaxing.
