A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!

£900.00 raised for Norfolk & Waveney Mind!

Our Summer Artisan Fayre - the fifth Artisan Fayre we've held - was another wonderful success! Simon & I would like to thank our fantastic artisans, visitors, friends & family who helped to make it all happen.

Following on from the achievements of last year's three Artisan Fayres, and our Spring Artisan Fayre earlier in the year, our Summer Artisan Fayre fundraiser for Norfolk & Waveney Mind didn't disappoint.

From this .... to this! Lots of happy visitors!

Wonderful artists helping to raise funds for a wonderful cause!

Our Lovely Artisans!

Again, we received so many encouraging, positive comments from our artisans and visitors alike. We were impressed with the high quality of our attending artists and incredibly grateful to those who demonstrated on the day - fabulous to see Ryan the blacksmith from Sting & Steel, Mark the stone mason & one of our tutors, and Aimee from Nacho & Tiki demonstrating what they do!

Mark gave letter carving demos
Ryan gave blacksmithing demos
Aimee gave illustration demos

It was also great to see how busy our workshop artists were throughout the day:

Fab workshops throughout the day

We are really heart-warmed by the support and generosity shown by visitors and artists alike in buying raffle tickets to win the wonderful, high-end prizes created and donated by each of our artisans (thank you guys!), as well as the purchases from our pop-up Fanoggins Bakery who spent many days before the event prepping & baking their tasty wares.

In particular, Simon & I want to say a HUGE thank you to our lovely, friendly front of house, DEE, who welcomed everyone with a warm smile and cheer and, despite being tired at the end of the event, stayed on to clear up tables and clean!

Also to Dee's partner, Tony, who helped us to clear up all the tables and chairs!

And to Zakiya & James who were hidden away in the kitchen all day and, even though exhausted, also stayed behind to help clear up and clean.

Big hugs and thanks also to those artisans and our loyal followers, customers and students who helped to share the event on their social media platforms, put out posters and fliers, and assisted in creating our high-quality artisan fundraiser event.

All the event profits (stallholder fees, bakery proceeds & raffle ticket sales) are going to a charity that Simon and I hold close to our hearts - and we've raised another £900 for Norfolk & Waveney Mind!

Combined, the five Artisan Fayre events we've held so far have generated a fab £4400.00 for Norfolk & Waveney Mind.

A wonderful collection of carefully curated Fenland & East Anglian artists, creators & makers who are selling their work, demonstrating their crafts & holding workshops on the day.

All profits are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity close to our hearts.

Following on from the success of our Spring Artisan Fayre in April (we raised a further £900.00 for Norfolk & Waveney MIND), Simon and I are putting together our Summer Artisan Fayre to showcase another selection of fabulous local Fenland & East Anglian artists, makers & creators, while at the same time raise funds for Norfolk & Waveney MIND.

Join us at Upwell Hall on the Norfolk/Cambs border - New Rd, Upwell, PE14 9AB - from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm on Sunday 20 July.

Some of the artisans are demonstrating their crafts (including willow weaving, silversmithing, pyrography, artisan floristry, lino printing, mixed media illustration, clay sculpture, embossing, Powertex sculpting ...).

FREE ENTRY and oodles of parking at the hall!

Fanoggins Bakery will be joining us again with their yummy locally made snacks and treats and there are tables & seating provided.

Don't miss out on the wonderful high-end raffle with all prizes made by each of the attending artists!

All event profits (stallholder fees, food & drink profits, raffle ticket sales) are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

This particular charity is close to our hearts, as Simon and I spend a lot of our time here at Blended Monkey offering creative therapy workshops & experiences to people who suffer with poor mental health, are recovering from brain trauma, or who generally need to get away from the pressures of everyday life and immerse themselves in something creative and relaxing.
