Spring Artisan Fayre 2025
We are so happy that our free Artisan Fayres & charity fundraisers were so successful last year. In addition to offering amazing local artisans the space to showcase & demonstrate their crafts & hold fabulous workshops, the three events in 2024 raised a total of £2600.00 for our chosen charity, Norfolk & Waveney Mind.

We are thrilled with the lovely, positive comments from the talented artists who had faith in and attended this event, and the numerous encouraging and fabulously supportive remarks made by the visitors who attended in their droves. A fabulous collection of Fenland & East Anglian artists, creators & makers who are selling their work and demonstrating their crafts. All profits are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity close to our hearts.
Following the success of our Spring, Summer & Autumn Artisan Fayres last year, Simon & I here at Blended Monkey are sponsoring the Spring Artisan Fayre to showcase some of the fabulous local Fenland & East Anglian artists, creators & makers, while at the same time raise funds for Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a worthy charity that we have fundraised for in the past.

We hope you can join us at Upwell Hall on the Norfolk/Cambs border - New Rd, Upwell, PE14 9AB - from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm on Sunday 13 April to experience a great selection of local makers, creators & artists.
Some will be demonstrating their crafts (enjoy demonstrations of stone masonry, willow weaving, silversmithing, pyrography, artisan floristry, paper jewellery, lino printing, embossing, embroidery ...).

​ENTRY IS FREE and there is oodles of parking at the hall.
Yummy locally-made snacks & cakes from Fanoggins Bakery will be available and there are tables & seating provided - and don't forget to buy tickets for our wonderful high-end raffle with prizes made exclusively by our fabulous artists!

All event profits (stallholder fees, food & drink profits, raffle ticket sales) are going to Norfolk & Waveney MIND, a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
This particular charity is close to our hearts, as Simon and I spend a lot of our time here at Blended Monkey offering creative therapy workshops & experiences to people who suffer with poor mental health, are recovering from brain trauma, or who generally need to get away from the pressures of everyday life and immerse themselves in something creative and relaxing.

WORKSHOPS & ATTRACTIONSÂ
Most of our artists will be demonstrating their crafts throughout the day, but we also have some scheduled workshops & services that can be pre-booked, including:
Foil Embossing - Decorative Spring Garland
Lizzie from Tales from the Fen is offering the chance to pre-book a 1.5-hour decorative spring garland. Add your own embellishments & choice of ribbon or thread to finish.
Costs just £20.00 and includes a stylus to take home!
The workshops will be held at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm.

If you don't manage to book a space on the garland workshop, Lizzie is running drop-in 15/30-minute hanging decoration workshops throughout the day costing just £5.00 per decoration!
Pyrography - Decorative Coaster
Tic Challis will teach you how to pyrograph your own coaster!
This approx. 1-hour workshop costs just £15.00 and you can pre-book by emailing Tic on ticchallis-art@hotmail.co.uk or texting her on 07508 708342.
Or you can take your chances on the day and drop in.
The workshops will be held at 10.30 am, 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm.
Lino Printing Workshop
Zoe from Ansari Prints is offering the chance to pre-book a 3-hour lino printing workshop. Make a simple design & transfer this onto an A5 piece of lino.
You'll learn how to carve your block & print it using ink pads, and hand burnish using a spoon. You can take your carved block and prints home (please bring a folder to put them in on the day).
Costs just £40.00 and includes use of all tools & materials.
The workshop will be held between 11.00 and 1.00 pm.
