Lino Printing Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - August 2026

We had a lovely group of students attend today's lino printing experience with

our fabulously talented guest tutor artist & printmaker, Sue Welfare. Everyone created their own beautiful, unique designs featuring elements including botanicals, birds, boats and hares ... such a creative bunch!


Sue expertly guided everyone through all the stages of printing using designs cut into lino. The morning was spent focusing on how to use the various cutting tools to create the desired marks in the lino; making some test lino prints and working through the processes. After lunch, the group enjoyed carving their final designs into a new piece of lino; inking their carved designs and then pressing them onto paper using the presses that Sue had brought with her.


The photos and videos here provide a brilliant insight into the day.


We kept the refreshments flowing, took lots of photos and provided a lovely lunch for this creative bunch, with all the bakes (choc-chip cookies, shortbread, "sausage" rolls and yummy cheese scones) provided by the wonderful Fanoggins Bakery.
