We had a lovely group of students attend our leatherwork glasses case workshop this morning; taught by our wonderfully talented leatherworker guest tutors, Tony & Soraya, from Fatbob Crafts!
Tony introduced the group to the tools that would be used and the leather that could be chosen from which to make their fab glasses cases from scratch using a template as a guide. Once the leather had been chosen, Tony taught the group how to cut the leather, and then all the tips and techniques required to create their finished items - including stitching the template together in their chosen colour of thread.
As is customary here at Blended Monkey, we kept the group fuelled with bakes and refreshments; this time chocolate brownies & shortbread from Fanoggins Bakery.
You can see the results of the morning from the photos and video below. Well done everyone! It's always a pleasure to have Tony & Soraya come and teach their amazing craft here in the Blended Monkey Studios.
They are returning this year with the following wonderful leatherwork experiences:
And we have more workshops to follow in 2027.
