DESPITE A BLUSTERY START, OUR CRAFTS VILLAGE AT THE ELY ARTS FESTIVAL FUN DAY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

We'd like to thank all the artists & makers who attended our Crafts Village yesterday as part of the Ely Arts Festival Fun Day. The Jubilee Gardens by the river played host to a wonderful selection of arts & crafts - with all the items on the stalls actually made by the artists themselves.

Some of our artists demonstrated their crafts throughout the day, including pole lathe turning by Simon from Blended Monkey (woodturner & green woodworker), and also fine art illustration from Tamara Finlay (artist).

We're pleased with the turnout despite so many other events taking place on the same day; and to have the dance performances from local dance groups, and the lovely range of live music, was an added bonus! Thank you to the Ely Arts Festival for inviting us to curate another fine selection of artists and crafters to make up the Crafts Village.

Thanks also to the visitors who supported the event by coming along to enjoy the day, and to those who bought work from our artists or discussed commissions and workshops with them. Lovely to see lots of our Blended Monkey students too! We hope to see you all next year!

ENJOY a WONDERFUL SELECTION of ARTS & CRAFTS stalls with ARTIST DEMONSTRATIONS throughout the day!

Simon & I at Blended Monkey have been asked to curate and manage this year's Crafts Village of artists and crafters who will be selling their work & demonstrating what they do at the Ely Arts Festival Fun Day on Saturday 13 June in the Jubilee Gardens (by the river) in Ely from 10 am until 5 pm.

This wonderful FREE event can be enjoyed by the whole family, and our Crafts Village will feature alongside a variety of food stalls (including the fabulous Fanoggins Bakery - as seen (or should I say tasted) at our Artisan Fayres), musical acts, entertainment, workshops, a circus ... so a great reason to visit Ely and take in this fantastic family-friendly Fun Day! And alongside our Crafts Village, you'll enjoy an amazing line-up of bands, entertainment and activities to suit the whole family.
