Full-Day Copper Foiling Glass Panel Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - May 2026

Today's full-day copper foiled glass panel workshop, taught by our guest tutors, Matt & Gina from Diamond Stars Glass, was a real success with everyone creating a beautiful foiled glass panel from scratch.

The weather was swelteringly hot, so the group used the crafts studio in the morning and then, after lunch, decanted to our outside covered workspace for the soldering part of the day. The marquee space helped to cool down the situation!

The students chose designs ranging from sun rays, boats on water, geometric patterns, sunsets and tulips (Art Nouveau style).

Matt showed the students how to cut the glass, shape it on the grinding machine, apply the foil and then solder the pieces together. Each piece was then provided with a long chain so it can be hung from a window handle.

As usual, we kept the group's creativity going by fuelling them with plenty of refreshments and tasty bakes courtesy of Fanoggins Bakery, who also provided a lot of the lunch elements.

The photos and video provide a great insight into this fabulous experience - everyone created such beautiful pieces.

If you couldn't get a place on this workshop, Matt & Gina are returning to our studios this year for the following fab experiences:

Saturday 26 July - half-day copper foiled glass hanging ornaments

Saturday 12 September - half-day copper foiled glass hanging ornaments
