Copper Foiling Glass Hanging Ornament Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - October 2025

Today's half-day copper foiled glass ornament workshop, taught by our wonderful new guest tutors, Gina & Matt from Diamond Stars Glass, was very successful with everyone creating a beautiful foiled glass hanging ornament from scratch.

Matt showed the students how to cut glass, shape it on the grinding machine, apply the foil and then solder the pieces together. Each ornament was then provided with a chain and a sucker so they can be attached to a window.


As usual, we kept the group's creativity going by fuelling them with teas, coffees & plenty of tasty bakes courtesy of Fanoggins Bakery.


The great thing about working with copper foiled or leaded glass work is that the students can take their pieces home with them. No kiln firing required.
