Wet Felting - Wool Neck-Warmer | Blended Monkey Studios | 28 February 2026
WET FELTING - MERINO WOOL NECK-WARMER WORKSHOP
Saturday 28 February 9.45 am – 4.00 pm
£100.00 including refreshments, lunch, all materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring & certificate of completion.
This full-day group workshop with our guest fibre artist, Danielle Green, is suitable for all skill levels.
Create a beautiful 100% fine merino wool neck-warmer using the ancient craft of wet felting.
Neck-warmers or "snoods" / "cowls" are soft and lightweight, but also warm and cosy. Each is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.
As well as learning how to wet-felt, you'll learn a technique called "nuno felting" where fine merino wool is felted with pure silk to create a unified fabric.
Wool is naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, so these neck-warmers are versatile and can be worn all through the autumn and winter.
Dannielle will start the session with a brief introduction to the history and endless possibilities of wet felting.
You'll learn each stage of the wet felting process; from laying out fibres to forming and fulling your felt as you create your own neck-warmer complete with silk and yarn embellishment enabling you to add your own artistic flair.
This WET FELTING - MERINO WOOL NECK-WARMER WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
