Tile Making and Glazing Workshop | Haddenham Arts Centre | 27 February 2027

Saturday 27 February 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

£80 including welcome tea/coffee & biscuits, materials, use of equipment on the day, two kiln firings, tutoring & returning of pieces to the Haddenham Arts Centre.
 
Price includes the firing of all pieces – work will be delivered back to the Haddenham Arts Centre for collection.
 
Suitable for 16+.
 
Join me for a day DESIGNING, CREATING & GLAZING your own unique trivet/large tile and 4 coasters/mini tiles on SATURDAY 27 FEBRUARY at the Haddenham Arts Centre 🧑‍🎨🍃
 
DISCOVER HOW TO:
 
add texture and design to your tiles
embellish with 3D elements (sprigs) for decorative pieces
apply underglazes to colour (glaze) your finished tiles
 
This tile making and glazing experience will be explained from start to finish by me and also with the aid of real-time footage on a large screen showing each step up close.

At the end of the session, you will have designed and decorated one 25 cm x 25 cm trivet (large tile) and four 10 cm x 10 cm tiles (coasters).
 
Once fully dry, all the pieces will be fired twice by me and can either be collected from the Haddenham Arts Centre or our studios in Upwell (or posted out by arrangement)✉️
 
The workshop is taking place at the Haddenham Arts Centre which has its own café where you can have lunch - workshop participants are entitled to a 10% discount - do pre-order when you arrive and let the staff know you are a student - or you are of course welcome to bring your own packed lunch or use facilities in the village.
