Join Tamara, our guest artist, for a REALISTIC DRAWING WORKSHOP - WINTER ROBIN.
This workshop is being held on the EVENING of Friday 6 November 5.45 pm - 9.00 pm.
The group size is a maximum of 6 people; ensuring everyone gets plenty of 1-2-1 tuition.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers alike. You don't need to be able to draw - a line drawing will be provided, allowing you to focus entirely on learning the techniques that bring coloured pencil artwork to life.
Join Tam for a relaxed and friendly three-hour coloured pencil workshop as we create this beautiful winter robin using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.
Perfect for beginners and improvers, this workshop focuses on building realistic colour, value and soft feather textures in a simple, step-by-step way.
Whether you’re picking up coloured pencils for the first time or looking to improve your skills, you’ll leave with a finished piece to be proud of, along with techniques you can use in all your future artwork.

Throughout the session, you'll discover how to:
- Build rich, vibrant colour with a limited palette.
- Create realistic texture and form through layering.
- Understand light, shadow and value to give your drawing depth.
- Blend colours effectively while maintaining the crisp detail that coloured pencils are known for.
- Add convincing highlights and finishing touches to make your artwork look realistic.
By the end of the 3-hour workshop, you’ll leave with a finished drawing, a greater understanding of coloured pencil techniques, and the confidence to apply these skills to your own future artwork.
All materials will be provided so just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy a creative evening immersed in the magic of coloured pencils.
Tamara will draw along with you to demonstrate and give as much 1-2-1 tuition as needed.
The course will take place in the Blended Monkey Studios in our small-group studio. The studios are situated in our pretty 1.2-acre gardens which you can enjoy during your break.
Refreshments are included during each session, tailored to suit any dietary requirements or allergies.
