EMBELLISH AN A5 JOURNAL WITH POWERTEX WORKSHOP
 
Sunday 13 July 2.45 pm – 6.00 pm

£50 including refreshments, materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring & certificate of completion.
 
This half-day group workshop with our guest tutors, Lynne & Sue from Fen Mill Crafts, is suitable for all skill levels and ideal if you are looking to dip your toes into the world of Powertex.
 
Powertex is a mixed media product which is liquid in its natural state and can be used as a paint, glue and fabric hardener. 
 
In this workshop, Sue & Lynda will guide you step by step through the process of adding fabric as your background. We will then use a clay made with Powertex and stone art to add the embellishments and finally the magic happens when we add the colour!
 
We will decorate an A5 journal.
The choice of design is yours and there will be plenty of inspiration.
 
All materials are provided.
Gloves and aprons are also provided, as Powertex is liquid in its natural state, but once on your clothing it is there to stay. With this in mind, it is advisable to wear old clothing.
 
This JOURNAL EMBELLISHING WITH POWERTEX WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border. 
 
Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition. 
 
This relaxing workshop is suitable for 14+. 
 
About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the session - tailored to meet all dietary requirements.
 
All students will be provided with a certificate of completion.

The half-day workshop includes:
- Materials & use of equipment on the day

- As we limit the number of people, you get to have some 1-2-1 tuition and the maximum benefit from a day with no distractions
- Certificate of completion
 
We also offer accommodation in the form of our Crafter's Retreat cabin subject to availability or we can advise of other local B&Bs.
Quantity

  • Booking, Cancellation & Refund Terms & Conditions

    • The purchaser of the workshop may cancel the workshop up to 2 weeks before the workshop date with a full refund.

    • If we need to cancel a workshop at short notice for reasons beyond our control, such as illness or mechanical breakdowns, the first option is to rearrange a mutually convenient date or receive a refund. In the event of cancellation for any reason, we are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses that you may incur in relation to the cancelled course.

    "We are certified tutors trained in Powertex.

    Powertex is an environmentally friendly mixed media product which can be used as a fabric hardener, paint and glue making it a must have mixed media projects.  

    Where possible, we use natural fibres and recycle clothes, as well as other household objects, to create our decorative pieces.

    No previous experience with Powertex is necessary to join one of our workshops."
