Saturday 30 August - 2.45 - 6.00 pm - Blended Monkey Studios
 
Suitable for beginners & children 14+ accompanied by an adult.
 
Join Zakiya, our guest tutor from Fanoggins, for a MOMIGAMI  & JUNK JOURNALLING workshop where you'll learn the art of momigami, a Japanese technique that turns paper into fabric.
 
You'll then use your newly created fabrics to cover your own spiral-bound journal.
 
You can then decorate your journal using
 
stamping
envelope & pocket making, and
collaging
 
The whole procedure will be explained from start to finish by Zakiya, a book binder and junk journal artist.
 
At the end of the session, you'll take your newly decorated junk journal home where you can continue to add to it if you wish. 
 
We’ll supply everything you need for this experience, but you’re welcome to bring your own photographs, magazines, old books, papers, and ephemera to use in your journal.
