FAERY DOOR SCULPTURE WORKSHOP

Sunday 28 September 9.45 am – 4.00 pm

£95 including refreshments, lunch, all materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring & certificate of completion.

This full-day group workshop with our guest tutor figurative sculptor, Christine Pike, is suitable for all skill levels.

Create a little enchantment for your garden by making your own sweet Faery Door! Position it against a tree trunk or wall - or maybe even create your very own secret garden.

Join our guest tutor, Christine, for a full day of sculpting using “paper cement clay”*, which will be able to go outside once fully cured.

In this workshop you will design a Faery Door (approx. 25 cm high) template in cardboard and aluminium foil which you will then cover with the clay.

Christine will show you how to add texture such as wood grain and stone, and how to add stamped detail and even embed small embellishments if you so desire.

All materials and tools will be provided and you will be able to take your Faery Door home with you.

Christine will explain how to properly cure your work and advise on how to paint and seal it. You can, if you prefer, seal and leave it in its natural state, which will resemble carved stone.

*Please note: you will be working with Portland cement, which contains lime, so you need to wear plastic gloves at all times (these will be provided).

This FAERY DOOR SCULPTURE WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our dedicated covered outdoor studio in the Blended Monkey gardens on the Cambs/Norfolk border.

Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition.

This sculpture workshop is suitable for 16+ .

About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and also a lovely lunch - tailored to meet all dietary requirements.

All students will be provided with a certificate of completion.

This would make a fabulous CRAFTY GIFT for someone - so drop us a line and we can post out to you/the recipient a complimentary personalised gift certificate for this experience🎁
