The Taggart Tales — We Love a Collaboration!
Updated: Nov 22
Despite a second lockdown and the subsequent enforced absence from Ely Crafts Market on a Saturday, we've been super busy here at Blended Monkey. In fact, amidst all the coronavirus upheaval, making our ceramic & woodturned pieces, and scheduling and rescheduling workshops, Nancy from The Ely Gin Company came and had a chat with us on our stall at the Saturday Ely crafts market, as she really likes our ceramic stars which are handmade here in our pottery studio. The Ely Gin Company consequently commissioned us to make over 400 of them to be used as decorations on their gorgeous gin gift packs!
The Ely Gin Company has a beautiful shop just off the Ely marketplace and also their more recently launched Land of Gin & Honey store based in Downham Market. They produce amazing, tasty gins, mixers and also showcase other local craftspeople and makers.
We've really enjoyed working with Nancy - it's great to collaborate with other small businesses in the area.
Proud to be the Official Sponsor of the Once Upon A Norfolk Facebook Group
Last month, we received a lovely message from Terry Sewell, a published author and also administrator of the Facebook group "Once Upon A Norfolk", asking if Blended Monkey would like to become the official sponsor of the group. Once Upon A Norfolk is primarily established for those who love and have an affinity with Norfolk. Members share their photographs and interesting posts about this beautiful county.
The group also actively raises awareness and funds for its charity "Rebecca's Wishes", which is a very worthwhile local cause aimed at providing children with cancer and their families experiences and therefore memories.
As Blended Monkey is located on the Norfolk/Cambs border, we thought it would be a great opportunity to become part of the group and help this very worthy local charity - check out the link above to discover more about the Rebecca's Wishes charity or make a donation.
Until next time!
