Silk Painting Experience at the Farmland Museum - October 2025
It was a pleasure to teach silk painting to such a lovely group of students today at the Farmland Museum in Waterbeach.
We also had two couples who were celebrating their 12th (silk) wedding anniversaries!
What a fab way to commemorate the "silk" anniversary. They each have their own hand-painted silk wall hangings to remember this day by.
Everyone really embraced the mindfulness and creativity of the session. Each student created something totally unique to them. We had everything from a very geometric woven design through to a landscape featuring a beautiful deer on the horizon.
I'm so pleased that everyone enjoyed this fun and relaxing session and it was lovely to hear all the nice comments at the end of the session.
My next group silk painting experience is being held on Saturday 28 MARCH at the Haddenham Arts Centre.
In this immersive & therapeutic silk painting session, you'll discover how to take a design of your choice & apply it to silk using a number of different techniques - including how to outline and apply silk paint to good effect.
You'll come away with your own 55 x 55 cm silk scarf or wall hanging.
Suitable for beginners!
I'm also holding further scarf silk painting experiences at the Haddenham Arts Centre on:
Saturday 6 June
and
Saturday 14 November
But watch this space for some different silk painting experiences that will be taking place again in the Farmland Museum (dates and details to follow).
This would make a lovely crafty GIFT for someone (especially a Mother's Day or anniversary treat!) - so drop us a line and we can post out to you/the recipient a complimentary personalised gift certificate for this experience.
