Paper Marbling Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - July 2025

Yesterday's half-day paper marbling experience taught by our lovely guest tutor, Anne Hickley, was really interesting. Each student made their own unique and beautiful papers under Anne's expert guidance.

Anne showed everyone how to create some of the traditional marbling patterns and also the rather wonderful tulip design (see the video below for the reveal!). Everyone was in awe of the process and each student was evidently totally absorbed by the techniques and the results.

We kept the group fuelled with teas, coffees & home-baked coconut cookies (courtesy of Fanoggins Bakery) - you can't marble on an empty stomach ;-)

I dipped in and out to take photos and videos. I found all the processes fascinating. Such a beautiful, immersive experience.

The group were able to take home the beautiful papers they had made and I think a few of them will be back for Anne's fabulous ceramic bauble marbling experience in December.
