Morning & Afternoon Fused Glass Experiences at our Blended Monkey Studios - June 2025

Today's half-day fused glass experiences taught by our fab guest tutor, June Massey, were a real success, with each group creating some beautiful large dragonflies and some extra hanging pieces.
We've equipped our Crafts Studio with aircon, so thankfully it was a cool working environment for everyone. The students learnt how to inlay pieces of glass in colours of their choosing (including beautiful iridescent pieces) in a dragonfly former.
After creating their lovely large dragonflies, the students went on to make some more free-style hanging elements in their own designs.
June expertly guided the group through all the stages and it was interesting to pop in now and then to take photos - the different coloured glasses are so pretty!
We kept the group fuelled with teas, coffees & yummy nibbles - all that creativity is hungry work!
June has taken the work home with her to fire in her specialist fused glass kiln. The work will then be brought back to our studios and students will be able to collect their creations.
