Updated: Jan 21

Yesterday's junk journalling workshop, taught by guest tutor, Zakiya, from Fanoggins Crafts, was attended by a really lovely group of students.

They enjoyed this wonderfully immersive & relaxing craft and created some fabulous journals -each one so unique!

Junk journalling is an extremely varied craft involving techniques from a range of disciplines, and these students learnt how to use processes such as spiral binding, stamping, sewing, making envelopes and collaging.

Our next beginner's group junk journalling workshop dates can be seen below & we'll be adding intermediate workshop dates soon ... or get in touch if you'd like to book a private junk journalling workshop for a party or event!s.

REVIEWS

"Had a wonderful workshop. Interesting seeing the sort of papers that you can use. Thank you for organising the day."

"A really lovely venue at Denny Abbey & as with a previous course attended, really good "joining instructions" and information.

Zakiya, was very knowledgeable, passing on information easily, including showing detailed work on a screen display. She gave lots of inspiration, also bringing examples of her junk journals to inspire.

The amount, diversity & quantity of materials to make our own were amazing. A really friendly, inclusive atmosphere & thank you Simon for the teas, coffee & biscuits all round.

The café is also to be recommended with a lovely selection of food and drinks (homemade soup was lovely). And, at the end of the day, lovely memories of shared learning, and our very own junk journal, incorporating things of interest and keepsakes for the future."

"Great fun day. I came away with lots of ideas on how to "grow" my new junk journal!

This would be a fun thing to do with a group of friends. Nice venue with good facilities as well.

The room was comfortable and well lit; perfect for crafting."
