Gel Plate Printing Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - January 2026

This morning's gel plate printing workshop taught by our talented guest tutor, Helen Thomas, was creative and fun. Each student made beautiful prints using some of the varied items brought along by Helen and also some of the leaves and foliage found in our Blended Monkey gardens.

The group were able to take all their prints home with them so they can create collages or maybe greetings cards with them. Some of the prints should be simply framed as they are and put on the wall, because they're beautiful :-).

We kept everyone fuelled with teas, coffees & home-baked brownies & coconut cookies (courtesy of Fanoggins Bakery).

The photos here provide a great insight into the experience - it's an interesting process and amazing what patterns can be achieved using household items, feathers, botanicals, bubble wrap ... and such gorgeous textures and colours!
