Gel Plate Printing & Earring Making Experience at our Blended Monkey Studios - May 2026

Today's gel plate printing & earring making workshop taught by our talented guest tutor, Helen Thomas, was fun and productive. Each student spent the morning creating beautiful prints using some of the varied items brought along by Helen and also some of the leaves and foliage found in our Blended Monkey gardens.

We kept everyone fuelled with teas, coffees & home-baked Nutella brownies & shortbread (courtesy of Fanoggins Bakery), and after lunch (with more yummies provided by Fanoggins Bakery) the group went on to make earrings from their beautiful printed papers.

The photos here provide a great insight into the experience - it's an interesting process and amazing what patterns can be achieved using household items, feathers, botanicals, bubble wrap ... and such gorgeous textures and colours!

Helen is joining us again at the end of the year for another half-day gel plate workshop ...
