EVENING WOODTURNING DEMONSTRATION AT THE ISE & NENE VALLEY WOODTURNERS CLUB - CRANFORD - May 2026

I was invited to demonstrate at The Ise & Nene Valley Woodturners Club on Thursday evening. Louise and I were greeted with smiles and a hearty welcome.
My off-centred candlestick demonstration went down well and it was great to have a number of members come up in the interval to ask questions and have a chat.
This type of eccentric woodturning involves turning both on a centred axis as well as several angled (off-centred) axes (see video below) to create the wave effect.
I'll be emailing my notes to the secretary. That way, members can then try turning the project themselves. It's important to share ideas so that others can learn from them and be inspired to create their own designs.
