Blended Monkey at Ely Markets
We're really looking forward to getting back to the Saturday Ely Crafts Market once it reopens again. We love chatting to our customers and catching up with our lovely stallholder family. The Saturday Crafts Market is such a popular, thriving and varied event. Alongside some truly scrumptious and interesting food stalls which cater for every possible taste, among other things you'll find a colourful array of unique crafts, quirky antiques, beautiful clothing and stunning jewellery.
Blended Monkey enjoys being part of the Saturday Crafts Market. Our handmade woodturned, ceramic and silk items are one-of-a-kind and can't be found anywhere else apart from our own website. Unlike online selling, we welcome the opportunity to meet our customers and encourage our work to be touched or held.
Being on the market also means we can offer first-hand information and advice about our workshops too.
Blended Monkey is environmentally conscious, and tries to use as little as possible packaging, and offers recycled boxes or paper bags on the stall. As market traders, we also bring along our own reusable coffee cups ... as you tend to get through a lot of tea and coffee from 7 am until 3.30 pm! We buy our lunch and any other snacks from our fellow market traders too. It's great to help support our market trader family and actively promote their products and foodstuffs as much as possible. As soon as the Saturday Craft Market resumes, we'll be there ready to meet up with our customers again.
Ely itself is steeped in history, boasting a beautiful cathedral, tranquil river walks, a fantastic art gallery "Babylon Arts", lots of shopping and FREE PARKING.
It's definitely worth visiting Ely on a Saturday, ambling through the colourful market, and visiting the lovely sights.
The Ely Markets website offers some great info about Ely and the various markets held throughout the week. And we're really loving the blog post they wrote about us last month. Have a read of it here.
